Educational Talk | April 2024

Heene Primary School

The School: Heene Church of England (Aided) Primary School | April 2024

Born from a common passion to connect communities with pollinators – our mission is to increase the pollinator footprint locally and champion conservation. One of the ways we do this is through educating people of all ages!

Pollinator Pioneers were back this year at Heene Primary School to give a talk about our bees to the 2 of this years reception classes – Elmer and Gruffalo.

As we were last year we are so impressed with how much enthusiasm these 5 year old’s demonstrated for nature, bees and other pollinators. What is so nice to see is how much they want to tell us what they know already.

We left a hive for the pupils to paint and what a fantastic job they did!  Hive Holly is loving her new home.

Onwards and upwards in our ambition to educate future generations on the importance of the humble bee (and of course all other pollinators).
